Cris Ferguson

Cris Ferguson has been flying since he was 12 years old. Since then he has accumulated over 2400 flight hours in 35 different aircraft. He has flown competitive aerobatics for many years and he has flown over 40 air shows.

Cris files an S1-C Pitts that he has re-built from the wheels up. It has a highly modified engine capable of generating 230 horsepower. The flat wings, which are unique to this type of airplane, are designed to enhance gyroscopic air show maneuvers.

Cris' passion is building and designing experimental aircraft and race planes. This led him into the aircraft restoration business after he rebuilt a fellow racer's aircraft after it was damaged in a runway accident. Five years ago Cris moved to Arkansas with his wife to start C and H Aircraft Restoration, Inc. Projects he has worked on since moving Northwest Arkansas include an AQC-6 Cabin Waco and Meyers 145 (one of only 20 in existence). He has just finished working on a new race plane he designed and built for Jeff Lo; it debut at the Reno Air Races this year. For the past six years Cris has been working for All Coast Aircraft Recovery along side Chuck Mosley, Ray Brown, Jim Brody, and Denny Palmer. He has moved various types of military aircraft all across the United States for museums, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with him.

Cris being presented his Brightling watch for winning the Gold in the Bi-plane class at the 2007 Reno air races.
